The 24th China International Optoelectronic Exposition was launched on September 6-8 in Shenzhen. More than 3,000 renowned optoelectronics companies gathered here, demonstrate cutting-edge innovative technologies and integrated solutions for the optoelectronic industry and applications. By 2026, the Global Optical Module Market will be worth USD 20.9 billion, with data communications applications contributing USD 15.1 billion, while the 3D imaging and sensing market will be worth more than USD 15 billion, according to Yole, consumer applications such as mobile devices accounted for nearly half of the market, while cars and industry also accounted for 22% of the market. The industry is demanding higher performance and higher quality for optical chip manufacturing, and SANAN is also pursuing higher-quality capacity.

SANAN has a combined monthly capacity of 30,000 pieces of 4,6 inch GaAs wafers in Xiamen and Quanzhou, as well as a 2,3,4 inch indium phosphide, for all-wavelength, all-rate digital optical chips, high-power consumer and vehicle optical communication chip production. At present, SANAN's PD products have been launched in large quantities in a wide range of digital applications, middle-end and high-end 56G Pam4 VCSEL and 25G DFB have passed the client verification and started to supply in large quantities; A complete set of EEL, VCSEL, and DFB with narrow line width have been developed for LIDAR applications and on-board digital communication application, which can be used in 125-degree environments. The industrial laser heating module jointly developed by SANAN and the Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was demonstrated to the audience in the exhibition, leading the development of the industry.

At the 2023 CIOE & YOLE International Forum, SANAN was invited to share technology at the International Advanced Forum on optical transceivers & silicon-based optoelectronics. Wang Yi, vice-president of SANAN optical technology division, said that optical chip technology will play an important role in future communications and smart travel.
